I am a native Northern Virginia, born in Alexandria, grew up in Springfield, moved to Loudoun over 30 years ago. I owned and operated Lenah House Antiques giving my clients the best service and antiques available. There are many qualities and skills that go into being an excellent Realtor. In my opinion, the most important is the ability to discover and address the diverse needs, wants, expectations and concerns of different home sellers and buyers. This ability can only come through really caring about people, together with a whole lot of practical experience and education.
LIVING & LOVING LOUDOUN!!! Loudoun County is quickly becoming known as the jewel of Northern Virginia. A wonderfully eclectic mix of the very old and the cutting edge new make Loudoun County an exciting yet peaceful place to live. Located 30 miles from Washington, D.C., Loudoun is fast becoming a major employment center as well as a blossoming "bedroom" community for the nation's Capital. On the other hand, efforts toward controlling this growth by the local government are preserving the rural nature and beauty of the nearby countryside. What joy can be had simply driving through the scenic landscapes, visiting historic Villages, and dining in authentic 17th Century country inns. And, amazingly all within reach of the Dulles corridor's burgeoning tech community and our Nation's growing Government center. Most points in Loudoun County are a short drive to the International Airport at Dulles. Two other major airports, Reagan National Airport& Baltimore/Washington International, are only a little over an hour away. But enough about business and technology; Loudoun has a wonderful array of attractions for every taste. This is horse country where horse farms dot the country side, Fox Hunters gather for a morning's ride and a day at the Steeplechase races is commonplace. For those in pursuit of the grape, there are many award winning wineries within an afternoon's drive as well as gastronomic treats found at many local restaurants. There are over thirty first quality golf courses within an hours drive as well the 46 mile W&OD bike path and numerous hiking trails. During the warmer months, nearly every village and town sponsor festivals of many varieties. And, don't forget the Bluemont Concert Series' weekly community concerts and Herndon's Friday Night Live concert for inexpensive family fun. "Antiquing" has become a popular past time in the Leesburg's quaint historic district -- many shops can be found along the same roads that over two hundred years earlier were crowded horse and buggy traffic. You say you are more into "modern shopping"? Look no further than Leesburg's Premium Outlet Mall where bargain hunters searching for designer quality are drawn from Northern Virginia, Metropolitan DC and as far away as Maryland.
